RIVALS FC GIVEN NORFOLK OR CHANCE

Rivals FC felt the full force of SFC debutant, John Norfolk, on Wednesday evening. Pulling on his hairband and an SFC shirt, for the first time, the mustachioed Englishman put in a show-stealing performance enabling him to go home with the match ball.

The thinking fans’ favourite, Andrew Hutcheon, was unlucky not to finish with a hatrick himself. However, he still closed out with two very tidy finishes and an assist. Hutcheon’s strike partner, Mike Hemmingway, also pounced for his first of the ESPZEN season.

Other noteworthy performances came from Matt Hulen, skipper Jahan Rezai and new boy Rob Benson. The latter showcasing some neat footwork whilst putting in a number of dangerous crosses from the right wing.

SFC finished the match 6-1 against Playground Rivals, in their first competitive ESPZEN League outing.
